Company Profile

Olympus Capital Investments, LLC is a private equity company formed in 2008 to focus on growth capital investments in emerging and established middle market companies. OCI seeks to invest in common and preferred equity, membership interests and convertible debt in public and private companies.

Based in Morristown, New Jersey, OCI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Olympus Holdings, LLC, an independent firm engaged through its various subsidiaries and affiliates in energy, commercial finance and entertainment.

Management Team

Dean N. Vanech, Chairman and CEO

Mr. Vanech has a successful track record in all aspects of non-utility power generation. Since beginning in the power industry in 1986, he has built and led teams both in the U.S. and abroad.

Prior to forming OCI and Olympus Power, Mr. Vanech founded and ran Delta Power, a company that was sold to Bear Stearns affiliate Arroyo Energy in 2007. Delta Power at its peak owned interests in 26 operating power plants across the US, with over $500 million in revenues and $1.5 billion of assets. Prior to forming Delta Power, Mr. Vanech co-founded and ran Rolls-Royce Power Ventures, Inc. as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to forming Rolls-Royce Power Ventures, Inc., Mr. Vanech was Vice President-Marketing for Enserch Development Corporation (now part of TXU) and was Vice President - Project Finance with Chrysler Capital Corporation. Mr. Vanech started his energy career with Catalyst Energy Corporation, and has held finance related positions with Lever Brothers Company and others.

Mr. Vanech was appointed to the board of the National Independent Energy Producers in Washington, DC by industry peers (now part of the EPSA). He has also served on many panels covering the domestic and international power markets, and has been featured in industry publications.

Mr. Vanech holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing and Finance) from Western New England College in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Christopher W. Bodell, Director

Mr. Bodell has over a decade of experience in public and private equity, management and economic consulting across a range of industries. Prior to joining Olympus Capital Investments, LLC, he founded Trier Capital LLC, a consulting firm specializing in M&A, business development, valuation and other financial advisory services. Among other assignments, Trier Capital was retained to perform business development and due diligence on M&A and organic growth opportunities for a publicly-traded income fund, including managing its ultimate sale to a strategic acquirer.

Prior to this, Mr. Bodell worked for Current Capital, LP, a private equity joint venture with Harvard Management Company, Inc., where he structured and negotiated asset and development investment opportunities on behalf of Harvard. He also worked in the energy and environmental practice areas of Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, Inc., a leading economic consulting firm providing analytical and management consulting services.

Mr. Bodell received a Master of Science in International Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and holds undergraduate degrees in Economics and International Relations, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Southern California. In addition to holding Board Observer roles for OCI's portfolio companies, he is Social Chair for LSE's New York City chapter and a member of the Board of Advocates for Citizen Schools New York, a non-profit organization assisting underprivileged students.

Cooper Schieffelin, Director

Prior to joining Olympus in 2008, Mr. Schieffelin worked as a Director in the Black River Clean Energy Investment Fund. Black River Asset Management is an investment firm wholly owned by Cargill with approximately $10 billion in assets under management. While at Black River, Mr. Schieffelin sourced and closed investments throughout the solar, environmental sciences, biomass, water and climate change sectors, focusing on mid to late-stage cleantech investments in pre-IPO companies as well as selected small-cap public companies. Mr. Schieffelin served on the Board of Verdeo Group and was as an observer to the Sun Edison and Sopogy Boards while at Black River.

Prior to this, Mr. Schieffelin worked as Director of Business Development for Olympus Power and Olympus' predecessor entity, Delta Power. While there Mr. Schieffelin was responsible for negotiating and structuring acquisitions in the power generation sector as well as arranging non-recourse debt and equity financing. Mr. Schieffelin previously worked as a Manager of Structured Finance for PSEG Global, an unregulated subsidiary of PSE&G focusing on international M&A opportunities in the power generation and electric distribution sectors. While there, Mr. Schieffelin successfully led a $100 million local bond placement in Peru related to a 220 megawatt hydro generation facility as well as several non-recourse debt financings in Chile. Mr. Schieffelin started his career at Atlantis Water Fund, a water-focused private equity fund co-sponsored by Poseidon Resources in Stamford, Connecticut.
